The idea of this party started in Ayan's birthday celebration. Everybody instantly agreed to the idea...in retrospect it makes you think why :). With the bachelor boy's love for Home centre and globe travel to cater his love's needs and wants, dates were of utmost importance to him, to be able to make it to his own bachelors party ;).
Once we got the dates confirmed, the e-space junks started...it was like star wars in the email space. People at times were in and at times were out of the trip, some suddenly went into inner reflective thoughts, as if the answer lies deep within...amidst all the action (read as inertia), one guy thought something is working at the background...and was getting all excited....that's Rohit for you :)
Girls (just to keep the age on par with ours, girls instead of women :)) prophecy was that guys will not able to make a single plan and the bachelor's party would be held at someone's home or hotel. Well i wouldn't disagree with them, we all thought the same way :)
Days passed...and to break the inertia another set of email junk started...with some concept selling the traction was found (so what if it lasted to discover destinations). Some people say life doesn't give choice, our problem was we had loads of places to choose from. Choice confuses people was holding itself well. From Lebanon to Amsterdam to Malaysia to Nepal some places appeared in the list, while some were shot down in thoughts..Except for Africa and Antartica, we may have covered all continents in these few days of thinking :)
Ab kya karen...the classy hindi cinema situation...and the answer has to be filmi...toss (salim-javed) it up.
We chose two destinations, Lebanon and Thailand. Some manipulations helped beirut winning more votes, yes we had free will voting :)....but thx to lebanese embassy not being in mumbai...our choice became obvious - Thailand.
Now the planning had got momentum (afterall we have decided the country) :) Articles, write ups etc were exchanged and the bachelor boy was kept out of the loop. Crazy ideas came and passed every moment...and to encash and make the trip most memorable, we started writing to everyone under the sun (well that's what you would have thought, but no, it was all in the mind..no action :))...
Then came the group discussion night at preetish's place...this reminds us of the group studies night in our school or college days....where everything happens, but studies :)....well this was similar....and with the help of preeta, aparna, ayan we decided something -" that we need to decide something fast" :)
we started planning and rohit almost mercilessly nuked us....indicating he may have to drop out for health and home center reasons :)..chaos prevailed..we had to call for emergency meetings...question was whether to cancel the trip or to wait for him to be healthy and then decide....humney socha chodo yaar...maaron goli rohit ko...lets all go..becharey ka bad luck :)
Destiny favors the brave...so it did...rohit somehow managed to attend his own bachelors party (well on his way to)...and we are all set to thailand...sawa dee thailand :)
Here's for the starters - GM logo which we intend to wear in Pattaya...thx to Sharat and Preetish to get this masterpiece ready.

The impact of this nuke was felt a few days later...GM members became uncertain from what looked certain...and suddenly the bachelors party from a digital color mode was transforming into black and white sad sa no party mode...or was it taking shape like sooraj bharjatya family picnic was a question of debate.
Destiny favors the brave...so it did...rohit somehow managed to attend his own bachelors party (well on his way to)...and we are all set to thailand...sawa dee thailand :)
